Philly @ the movies

Philly loves the movies and what better way to enjoy them than outdoors and at notable and historical sites throughout Philly? Get your movie buddies, popcorn and other movie-watching treats together for this amazing line up:

More Taste of Philly

Yesterday you were in for a real treat at Penn’s Landing as Taste of Philly kicked off the 11-day Wawa Welcome America! Festival. The Philadelphia Freedom Jazz Orchestra and Gerald Veasley serenaded you as you enjoyed delectable treats from Philly’s best restaurants. So far, it has all the promises of a great weekend of food,…

Chinatown Block Party

The fourth of July is also about celebrating the different cultures that make up our society. Throughout the 11-day celebrations, Wawa Welcome America gives you the perfect opportunities to expand your knowledge of food, music and cultures. On July 2, head over to Chinatown (10th and Race Sts.) to join in the Chinatown Block Party.

Independence Day Picnic

A celebration of the U.S.’s independence is not complete without honoring the men and women dedicated to serving our country at home and around the world. As a part of the 11-day Wawa Welcome America! Festival, join in a picnic and a special military change of command.

Wawa Hoagie Day 2011!

Hoagies – one of Philly’s signature sandwiches that can’t be duplicated anywhere else. This sandwich form is among my favorites. I hear part of the secret lies in the bread. For hoagie lovers near and far, June 29 will be a special day.

WAWA Welcome America!

The month of June is upon us and in Philadelphia that means one of many things: the WAWA Welcome America! Festival will soon be under way. For those of you who have yet to experience these festivities, it involves 11 days (yes, 11 days) of events in celebration of Independence Day.

More from PIFA

I don’t know about you, but I miss PIFA and all of the amazing events that took place. I have a few more photos from this wonderful month of Paris in Philly. What was your favorite part of PIFA?
