From June 24 – 26, some of Philly’s favorite culinary artists will gather at Penn’s Landing to give you a Taste of Philadelphia and officially kick off the start of Wawa Welcome America! Festival.
I couldn’t think of a better way to get in the spirit of celebrating America’s independence than with a combination of food and music. Admission to Penn’s Landing is free and tastes are only a few dollars each.
Here’s a look at what you can expect to taste and hear at Penn’s Landing:
June 24
5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
While sampling tasty dishes from Philly’s top restaurants, enjoy the sounds of jazz musician Gerald Veasley on opening night.
June 25
11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday brings you more delicious dishes to the sounds of jazz and blues musicians. At 8 p.m. Aaron Neville returns to Philly to perform his latest hits, followed by fireworks over the Delaware River.
On the Front Street Stage, you’ll be among the first to see performances by finalists of the Wawa Welcome America! singer/ songwriter contest.
June 26
11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
The last day of Taste of Philly will be harmonized with performances by local Gospel choirs.
