The fourth of July is also about celebrating the different cultures that make up our society. Throughout the 11-day celebrations, Wawa Welcome America gives you the perfect opportunities to expand your knowledge of food, music and cultures. On July 2, head over to Chinatown (10th and Race Sts.) to join in the Chinatown Block Party.

From noon – 4 p.m., you’ll be able to experience Philly’s vibrant Asian culture in an open-air market with exceptional entertainment, Asian cuisine, crafts and more.
Chinatown has been a part of Philadelphia since the 1870s and 80s, starting as a society of bachelor sojourners and developing into a thriving community of diverse Asian cultures, community organizations, churches and restaurants.
For more history on Chinatown, visit the Historical Society of Pennsylvania or Philadelphia Chinatown.
