Homemade chocolate chip cookies are the ultimate comfort to me. When I bake them, I’m always remind me of making them with my mom as a little girl and I have just always loved the process of mixing the ingredients, stirring in the chips and then spooning them onto the baking sheet. Then eagerly awaiting the eight to ten minutes for them to turn a wonderful golden brown. Of course, the best part was (is) licking the spoon and tasting the batter.

Especially with the holidays approaching, I anticipate the smell of cookies baking to fill up my apartment more often.
