Nik Wallenda has done it again. He has crossed a 1,300+ foot long high wire at 125 feet in the air. In June, he completed this feat across the precipice of Niagara Falls and yesterday, August 9, he completed it above the Atlantic City beach.
Honestly, this was the first time I had ever heard of him or his family – the Great Wallendas, who have been doing acrobatic stunts for seven generations – and I was quite intrigued by his talent.
Almost looks like he’s walking on his own banner.
The day started out with blue skies and the sun shining, but just as Nik Wallenda started his high wire walk it became a little overcast. The one thing I didn’t like and found completely disrespectful was some people in the crowd saying things such as: “This guy’s going to die.” Otherwise, it was truly amazing to see him in action
I will let the photos tell the rest of the story. Click on one to start the slideshow.
The plane and banner that flew through the air the entire wire walk.
A look at the 1,300 foot wire. The wires hanging down helped keep the main wire taunt during the walk.

It seems someone rented a helicopter so they could take photos of Nik Wallenda during his walk.
