Another LetterMo has come and gone, and I’m definitely inspired to create and send more mail as March gets started.
LetterMo 2015 got off to a great start for me. I wrote and sent a few letters and postcards in the first week, and I was all psyched for the weekend because the LWA Social was all set for Sunday, February 8 and there was nothing that could get in my way. Until I woke up that Sunday morning and germs had taken over my body, making it feel like I had cotton balls in my ears, a stuffy nose, and a headache.
As much as I wanted to respond to penfriends and write Valentine’s cards, I couldn’t focus enough and stayed at home from work for the next two days. I was able catch the last few minutes of Mary K. Robinette’s (author and LetterMo founder) appearance on the live LWA Social video, but didn’t participate much.
But, that is how life goes sometimes and I picked up where I left off by the third week. Here is a look at some of the mail I’ve sent and received this LetterMo.
How awesome is this. On January 23, we added a new furry feline as a member of the family. We named him Batman. One of the awesome members of LEP sent me this surprise mail just for him. He especially loves the little mice.
Here are some other pieces that made my mailbox happy.
I used up some of the postcards I have accumulated over the years and was inspired by Donovan Beeson’s use of doilies to decorate her mail. It was fun to decorate my envelopes differently than usual.
